From www.hometownheadlines.com:
WROM goes from gospel to ‘classic hit country’: Rome’s independent radio station WROM 710 AM this month switched formats from gospel music to “classic hit country.” It is the second time in recent years someone has tried the format.
This cannot be good for the “old gospel” community in Rome. Maybe we could someone to buy it and put the old 99X on it! That’ll really get them going… Not that it would make any money, it would just be hilarious to hear all of the griping and complaining…

This is a cool idea no doubt, and I would like to see how well it works, but it will have another effect on the video industry. It is just one more thing to make it easier for the clueless amateur to be a “real video producer”. This service called “Flixwagon” allows you to stream live video from your new Nokia smart phone right to the internet across a 3G connection or Wi-Fi; what ever you have. This is cool and all, but I wonder how long it will be before a certain local website owner tries to do live local football games from his phone, or how long it will be before he (or she) goes out to a wreck at 3:00am only to put live video on the internet of some one dying. I may be paranoid, but this is not a good combination. Check out the service at the link below:

I recently developed a rapid notification system for the Floyd County Emergency Management Agency (call them FEMA! they’ll get a kick out of it! HA!). It sends activation notifications to any portable device and email address known to man within the EMA in about 5 seconds. Unfortunately its first use was this morning at 2:28 AM which means that I was woken up via a phone call when they had a question about it. I guess the good thing is that it worked and I will get my check. HA! With that said, I am going back to bed.

I had a server go down and was completely unresponsive. I was pissed. I wanted to go home and did not have time to deal with fixing it. I suspected that it was a hard drive problem since the system resources were minimal when it was running sluggish. I have been hearing about SpinRite while listening to Steve Gibson on Security Now for over a year now. I decided to give it a try. I bought it for $89.00 and burned the .iso to a CD and booted the server. Let me tell you this program is cool. You can read about it on their website at http:\\www.grc.com. I let it run overnight, it recovered the data that was lost on the drive and the server is running like a top. I could not be happier. The program will restore lost data and refurb any drive, and any file system. This is not one of those “pop-up click here” programs. It has been around since the early 80’s.

A guy in England has had ryancleary.com for years now, but he let it expire and I bought it. Not that it matters that much, I just see it as some kind of great personal achievement for a day. I believe strongly that you should own “yourname.com”. I bought jacksoncleary.com about 2 hours after he was born while whit and he were sleeping. Now that I have the domain, I am going to try to keep this page more updated. I won’t be updating it everyday like these blog freaks, but for all of you that care about what I am doing (yeh… what’s the point right!?) you can come here and see what is going on with me.
